Welcome to the Transport Diversions Emporium!
The Transport Diversions Emporium aims to provide the widest range of specialist transport related publications on the Internet. We hold the majority of the publications in stock that are listed on the website and we will ship these to you as soon as possible. Where an item is not shown as 'in stock' the availability displayed is based on our previous experience with the supplier.
The subjects covered by our titles are decided by you, our customers.
... but if you can't find what you are looking for why not e-mail me (John Kappler) to let me know what you are looking for and I will see what I can do!
The website is provided with extensive searching and cross referencing - there are keywords for each publication and you can use these to get a list of all of the titles covering your subject of interest. As you browse titles you will find that each title visited is recorded in the left column to make it easier to remember where you have been! Visit the Directory page for a complete list of the Publishers and Series that we stock.
You can add (and remove!) items to your shopping basket at any time by going to the View Basket page. When you select your country, this page also lets you see how much postage will be.
We charge shipping at our cost of packaging and postage - we weigh each item before it is put in our catalogue (or for items not yet in print we calculate weight based on page count) and the postage is calculated from that weight so you don't pay any 'hidden' extras when you buy from us.
The on-line shop was established in 1998 by partners John Kappler and Peter Huckle. Since 1998, the range has expanded from just railway titles to most forms of transport and is increasing every week.
You can browse through a library of Book, Video and CD titles and select items for purchase using an electronic "Shopping Cart" which processes the order when you reach the checkout. Just as in a supermarket, no sales are processed until the checkout is reached and you confirm your transaction with payment details.
You can view and change the contents of your shopping basket at any time.
Our 4,000-plus titles include: Railway Books; Railway Videos; Bus Books; Bus Videos; Aviation Books; Aviation Videos; Road Transport Books; Road Transport Videos; Maritime Books & Maritime Videos, with more being added on a regular basis – you can be kept up to date with the latest additions and alterations if you subscribe to our newsletter.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. No payment is processed from your card until your order is sent.

When we heard the Rail Photoprints were to
retire from producing their calendars, we searched around for alternatives.
Then we heard two other publishers had taken over their regular titles plus
introduced a new topic. So, all the regular calendars
for are now in stock plus several more! As last year we would recommend that if you don't want to be
disappointed, order earlier rather than later.
Magazines:
We don't stock
magazines. However, for up to date news, pictorial views and railtour details
from the UK
railway scene, we suggest Railway Herald each week, and for
Worldwide information, Railway Herald Worldwide each
month. Both magazines are available free, in PDF format.
